"Adventure is the word that optimistic people use to describe hellish experiences." -Lexi Monnie
Hahaha! I think that this may be applicable for this weekend in some ways....
This weekend Brandon ran the Freedom run up in Logan on Sat morning…
He came in 6th place over all and 1st place in his division! Good job eh?! I think so! I am proud!
I had my mom and sister drop off my car on Friday so I could just drive myself home.
So I was home and we were planning on going over to Jason’s house for 4th of July festivities (on the 3rd). Brandon called me and told me that he was going to be a little late cause his tire blew on the highway…literally blew! It blew off a chunk of his car too!...bummer…He then called me a while later and said that he was going to be even later cause his spare tire had just gone flat!...double bummer! So turns out that AAA only tows 5 miles! What kind of worthless service is that? It was 730 and all of the tire/car places were closed by then so I drove up to Sandy area to rescue him. We left his car on the highway and drove back to Provo. We went over to Cinnamon tree and watched the Stadium fireworks from our porch benches on the balcony…and Brandon got to meet Sue! Yay! best friends meeting best friends! cant believe it took so long! sheesh! they both have heard of each other just no had the chance to meet yet.
We went back Sunday morning and rescued the car. Driving around here and there and the Wal-Mart guy suggested a place for us to go that would cost a lot less where we could buy a used tire. So that’s what we did! Then we were able to make it to sacrament meeting at my singles ward in Orem.
That was pretty much the weekend for us...I guess it was eventful...just not in the exciting/happiest of ways. and I sadly didn't really take pictures... but here are some of Brandon's poor car.
