Road Trip! - Day 2 in Ireland

Dublin is cool and all- but I have decided that big cities are all the same - lots of people, crowded, busy, you run into a lot of creepers and etc. Don't get me wrong they are fun and there is always a lot to do and a lot to see and I like that - but I would much rather do what we ended up doing today than be in the city!
We all decided to go out to On a day trip we found this company when we were at the airport yesterday and scheduled the tour for our group. Because there were 15 of us we got a group discount and actually got our own little tour bus! it was perfect!
Our Tour guide/bus drivers name was Gerry- he usually didn't drive for that company but a friend called him for favor so he took us. He was GREAT!! He told us all kinds of stories and answered our questions. He was a lot of fun! Really great guy! He told us that the Irish don't take themselves too seriously so we shouldn't take them seriously either. Gerry told us, "don't take life too serious, nobody's getting out alive." haha!
Here are some of the pictures that I took out of the bus window and along our way....

Yeah the country side is GEORGEOUS!!!

YEP! can you believe that!
SO cool! just driving down the highway and you look out the window and- TA-DA! CASTLES!!!
This is some of us on a short stop. It was quite the drive....but a beautiful one at that! We reached our destination was the Cliffs of Moher...
Do you know it!? anyone!?
Well maybe you would know it better by the name of "The Cliffs of Insanity!" -Yep this is where the princess ride was filmed.
pretty cool eh?! It was quite a fantastic sight! We had a little over an hour to enjoy the sight and take a bunch of pictures, here are a few:

We then got back in the bus and drove a bit to a place to take lunch. My friend Graham actually packed a linch that he shared with some of us so instead of eating in an overpriced restaurant we went and ate outside on some big stone staircase overlooking the beach.

It was really fortunate that we got Gerry as our bus driver! usually this tour takes you straight out the the cliffs of Moher and then straight back the same way. Instead Gerry said- well I am going to take you in a circle and show you more of our beautiful country- so we REALLY lucked out!

Better yet! There were a few times that Gerry asked- would you like me to pull over so you can get out and look/walk around a while? Of course it was a resounding YES!! and so he took the time to let us out so we could explore and enjoy the beauty of Ireland more than just from the window view.

We stopped at the beach and got to run around a bit- everyone was walking around on the beach with their shoes on...I do not believe in socks and shoes on the beach!

YAY for toes in the sand!

PLUS I had to put my feet into the Atlantic ocean! this was my first time!!! Graham joined me!

And we passed by some bikers and I found myself wishing that I was on my dads motorcycle forthis trip instead of in a van. Oh mom and dad! someday you need to ride a motorcycle down the west coast of Ireland! You would LOVE it!!!

It was an ABSOLUTY BEAUTIFUL WONDERFUL day!!! I LOVE Ireland!
